INS-2500 is 63mm diameter large inverting image intensifier tube of MX9644(Litton) type applied in various kind of night vision devices which meet well know international standards for AN/PVS-4, AN/PVS-8, AN/PVS-20 and AN/TVS-5 system.
It has direct fiber optic element on the input, multi alkaline photocathode(S20) with 25mm useful diameter and phosphor screen(P39) with yellow-green emission color placed on fiber optic element which has direct transfer of image.
INS-2500 also includes microchannel plate(MCP) intensification and incorporated power supply unit with bright source protection(BSP) option and automatic brightness control(ABC) mode.
